One of the easy ways to lose weight is to include fruit as a part of your diet.  Please note this is the 4th item to add to your food lovers diet. Water, Leafy Greens, and Vegetables are on your healthy diet for weight loss before fruit.

Just as you should rotate the types of vegetables you eat, please rotate your fruits also. Of course it makes economic sense to eat fruits that are in season!

Citrus fruits are high in Vitamin C, and the white pith surrounding them are full of wonderful bioflavonoids. They have very strong anti-oxidants with anti-aging properties. Citrus fruits increase collagen formation for healthier skin. Grapefruit works wonders in fighting obesity.

Feeling blue? A wonderful way to keep your motivation to lose weight is to have some watermelon!

Berries are fantastic for you. Strawberries can help with blood pressure. Black Raspberries are great for fighting acne, as well as relieving menstrual cramps. Cranberries help fight urinary tract infections, and are wonderful blood cleansers. One of the easiest ways to lose weight is to regularly include berries in your diet.

By the way, you could have 8 cups of blueberries, and still have eaten less calories than in one large blueberry muffin!  (That is just for comparison’s sake. We do NOT count calories on your food lovers diet, we simply add healthy foods for weight loss until we can’t fit anything else!!).

You might hear people saying “Don’t eat fruit; it has a lot of sugar”. The kind of sugar in fruit is very different than the processed, bleached, stuff that goes into just about everything that comes in a wrapper. This is NOT to say load up on fruit to the exclusion of leafy greens and vegetables, but a serving of fruit (or 2 or 3!) will be much better for you than a muffin, or a donut, or a slice of cake, or a pack of cookies!
