One of the easy ways to lose weight is to give your body an abundance of the good stuff it needs by juicing to lose weight.

We know that leafy greens and vegetables are the biggest part of your healthy diet for weight loss.

We know that they are absolutely full of all kinds of nutrients that are just wonderful for you. One of the best thing about eating leafy greens and vegetables is that they take up so much room in your stomach!! One of the easy ways to lose weight is to know that if you want more of the health benefits of the leafy greens and veggies but can’t fit anymore in, consider juicing to lose weight!

The kind of juicing to lose weight I am referring to is home made.

In order to get those store bought juices to last longer on the shelf, they have been pasteurized, chemicalized, loaded with preservatives and filtered. By the time you drink it, there are not really any live nutrients left. All the enzymes have been killed off.

Juicing allows you to get the benefit of an entire head of cabbage in a glass! I think that no matter how strong my motivation to lose weight, I would struggle to eat that much in one sitting!

Juicing to lose weight also gives your digestive system a chance to rest and repair itself. It gets to absorb the nutrients of these foods without having to do the work of really breaking them down from solids like they normally would have to.

The benefits of juicing to lose weight are endless. Your healthy diet for weight loss should include fruit and vegetable juices.

One of the easy ways to lose weight…

…is to make your juices with as much of the dark leafy greens as possible for maximum benefit. When starting out, please make sure that the majority of your juice is celery, cucumber, and some carrot and fresh ginger. Then add kale, cabbage, and your leafy greens. If needed, add one apple and perhaps a lemon.

There are different kinds of juicers. The slow masticating type juicers work best on leafy greens, and are very, very quiet.  You can use them early in the morning with little chance of waking your family.

The centrifugal type is like running a small vacuum cleaner.

The drawback of centrifugal is that the juice can become oxidised quicker because of the manner of juice extraction. By contrast, the masticating produces a much higher quality juice with more nutrients, but is slower at juicing.

Since the object of juicing (for me) is to get the healthiest juice I can, and I hate anything that reminds me of a vacuum, I went for the masticating type juicer.
